Walking Cricket
Walking Cricket is a slower version of the game we all love; it has many physical, social and mental benefits. The programme benefits people in many ways including staying active and meeting new people.
The benefits include:
- improves heart health, including reducing the risk of heart disease, stroke and high blood pressure
- improves flexibility and range of movement, keeping you mobile and reducing the risk of injury
- improves strength and endurance, keeping you active and independent living
- boosts mental health and well-being, playing with others can help boost your mood as it relieves stress and anxiety
- improves hand to eye co-ordination (motor skills)
The sessions at Terry's Fields are currently on a break and will resume in the Spring 2026.
There are alternative low cost sessions run by Worcestershire Cricket Foundation on Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:00 at Trinity High School. More information can be found here.
