As the Winter months draw in a third leaflet, which sets out help and support available to combat the cost of living crisis, has been launched.

Redditch Borough Council continues to join forces with partners to produce the leaflet which signposts people to organisations who can offer specific help and advice on a host of issues.

These include managing money, housing benefits, energy efficiency solutions and this year, there’s a section on coping with Christmas and all the financial challenges it can bring. Information on free events too, including the lights trail at Arrow Valley Countryside Centre, is in the leaflet.

Council Leader Matt Dormer said: “Following the success of the other two leaflets I am delighted we have launched a third. We wanted to make it easier for our residents to access information and support in one place so it’s all on our website and people know the advice is from trusted sources.

“However we realise that not everyone goes online so the leaflet is ideal to ensure to can reach as many people as possible and of course, calling on the community spirit for which Redditch is renowned, to check on neighbours and hand a leaflet to them, friends and family.”

Partners involved in the leaflet include bdht, libraries, Act on Energy, Age UK, BARN, NewStarts and Citizens Advice. Help offered by the Council including Council Tax support also features.

Leaflets are available from the Town Hall and libraries. Visit redditchbc.gov.uk/costofliving for more information
