Business Grants Privacy Notice

Redditch Borough Council collects personal information about you to process grant applications and to validate eligibility criteria.  To allot this funding, the Council will receive expressions of interest pitching project ideas in a bid to win a share of this money available through open competition.  Both the Council and the third parties may ask questions about your business, as well as personal information about you as an individual.  The legal bases for this processing is to perform a task in the public interest - we need the data you provide so that we can allocate grants fairly and properly.  

The data collected is:

  • Applicant name
  • Contact details 
  • Unique Tax Reference for sole traders. 
  • Business rates account number.
  • Details of previous subsidies received in the last 3 years.

 

This information will be accessible by the service who administers UK SPF projects in which you are participating, or a team or individual from within the Council with the same responsibility, Co-funders of the grant (Redditch BID, DLUHC), and delivery partners for the grant (Worcestershire Growth Hub, Worcestershire County Council).

When you apply for a grant, you can opt to consent to us processing your personal information for other specified purposes such as:

Customer Satisfaction Survey regarding the development of the service and the services provided.

To keep you informed regarding other business support programmes that may be of interest to you.

Where you agree to be contacted, the data will be kept until it is either overwritten or until you no longer agree to be kept informed.  If you chose not to consent to additional processing, this will not affect your rights.  Details of all your other rights can be found here (Privacy Notice - redditchbc.gov.uk

Data is retained for 6 years following the closure of the grant programmes (UKSPF closes 31/3/2025).

This information will not be shared/sold to any other service/organisation unless we have a duty to do so under law. This data will not be transferred outside of the UK
