If you have a regular income, don’t have the money for a deposit but are interested in owning your own home, there are schemes that may be able to help you.

Private renting is often the easiest way to being rehoused as you can choose the property type and location.

Check with local estate / letting agencies and search online, popular websites include, Rightmove & Zoopla.

Mutual Exchange, if you're a social housing tenant, swapping homes is the fastest way to move to the right size property or location you want to live in.

Speak to your landlord they will have free search schemes to help you find a swap.

Most council tenants are allowed to buy their council home at a discount. Use the eligibility checker on the Right to Buy website to find out if you can apply. 

You may be able to buy your home at a discount through the Right-to-acquire-buying-housing-association-home, talk to your landlord
