Purpose:

Volunteers for delivering Pride in Place.

Lawful Basis:

  • Article 6(1)(e) – Public task: processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority.
  • Article 6(1)(b) – Contract (where relevant to appointment processes).
  • Article 9(2)(g) – Substantial public interest (if collecting special category data, e.g., equalities monitoring).

Why we collect your data

We collect personal information to:

  • Contact you regarding your volunteering opportunities
  • Comply with legal and audit requirements associated with publicly funded programmes

What information we collect

We may collect:

  • Name, address, and contact details
  • Declarations of interest
  • Equalities monitoring information (optional)
  • Identification for right‑to‑work checks (if applicable)

How we use and store your information

Your information will be used only for volunteering opportunities and governance functions relating to the Pride in Place programme.

Who we share your information with

We may share your data with:

  • Internal staff involved in the fund
  • Pride in Place funding partners
  • Pride in Place Chair and Neighbourhood Board
  • External auditors (where required by government funding conditions)

How long we keep your information

  • For 2 years after your volunteering role ends.
  • Volunteers can opt out of receiving ongoing communications.
