Elections for Redditch Borough Council will take place on the 7 May 2026.

Election Notices
Registering to vote
To be able to vote in these elections you will need to be registered by the 20 April 2026.
If you are already registered to vote at elections, you do not need to do anything.
If you are not registered to vote, please refer to our page here.
Voting in a Polling Station
On polling day you can visit your polling station as stated on your poll card between 7am and 10pm. If you are unsure of your allocated polling station, for information and directions click here.
If you are planning to vote in person on the day of the elections, please ensure you take a valid piece of ID with you, all the information can be found here. If you do not have any of the forms of ID shown in the link you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate here too.
Please be aware that if you turn up to vote at a polling station without valid voter identification or a Voter Authority Certificate, you will be turned away and asked to return with the correct identification.
Voting by Post
For electors who already have a postal vote in place, postal voting envelopes (white with a purple edge) will be sent out. This will include your return envelope ‘B’, Instructions on how to complete your paperwork and your ballot paper envelope ‘A’.

Voting by Proxy
You can also apply for a proxy vote which allows you to nominate someone else to attend the polling station and vote on your behalf.
If you are looking to vote via a proxy both you and the appointed person must be registered to vote.

Becoming a councillor is a very good way for you to give back to your community.
You will be a representative of the views of the local people and be their voice.
