Spirits Shine Bright in the Borough
Spooky season begins as Redditch Borough Council launches its free, family friendly “Haunted Halloween Light Trail”.
Attendees will explore themed Halloween zones including “The Forbidden Attic” and “Captain Graves”, with the number increasing this year from four to nine, with meet and greet roaming characters throughout.
The light trail itself includes magical illuminated paths, sparkling trees, and eerie ghostly projections that light up the night!
Held in Morton Stanley Park, the seasonal frights take place on Saturday 31st October as the park is transformed with projections, illuminations and of course, plenty of pumpkins!
There are many interactive photo opportunities throughout the trail, so residents are encouraged to dress up for the event in their spookiest Halloween costumes.
Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Cllr. Juliet Barker Smith said: “This is another brilliant free event right in the heart of our community that residents love!”
“It would be wonderful to see a big turnout on the night, especially those who like a costume dress up!”
Alongside the trail, visitors can enjoy a children’s funfair featuring some frightful rides and feast on treats at the ‘Trick or Treat Street Food Court’.
The event starts at 4pm and runs through until 9pm on the night, with parking for Blue Badge holders in the Morton Stanley car park but spaces are limited so arrive early.
Alternate parking, for those who don’t have a Blue Badge, is available at Walkwood C of E Middle School but this is very limited so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
