Sapling Growers Launch Event

Redditch residents are invited to join the launch event of the Sapling Growers volunteer scheme.

Visitors can collect seeds, especially English Oak acorns, and bring them to the stall to plant and take home. A potting table, compost, and recycled pots will be available to help everyone get started.

The event will run alongside Park Run and carol singers to make the most of the festive atmosphere on Saturday 20th December from 8:30am to 1:30pm at Arrow Valley Country Park.

Portfolio Holder for Woodland Management, Cllr Jen Snape, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to get involved in growing our future woodlands. Every seed planted today helps create a greener tomorrow for Redditch.”

Children can enjoy exciting engagement activities, including a tree identification guide and other tree planting themed fun, designed to inspire young nature enthusiasts.
