Redditch Crematorium opens its doors to the community

Redditch Crematorium is inviting the community to step inside and discover more at its Open Day this September.

Doors will be open on Saturday 13th September 2025, from 11am to 2pm as the free event offers a unique opportunity for residents to explore the crematorium’s beautiful chapel and grounds, meet the dedicated staff, and learn more about the services provided.

Located on Bordesley Lane, the crematorium will be open to all - no appointments or tickets are required.

Visitors will have the chance to:

Tour the serene chapel and landscaped grounds
• Meet the compassionate team who manage the crematorium
• Connect with local businesses and stakeholders
• Ask questions about cremation services and memorial options

Leader and Portfolio Holder for Environmental Services, Cllr Sharon Harvey, said: “We understand that many people are curious about what happens at a crematorium but may feel unsure about visiting. This Open Day is a welcoming, informal way to learn more, ask questions, and see the care and respect that goes into every service we provide.”
