Have Your Say On Council Budget
Residents are invited to tell Redditch Borough Council about the services which are important to them as part of the budget setting process for the year ahead.
In this latest round of budget consultation, the Council wants to know how important its three priorities are to residents:
- Economy and Regeneration
- Green, Clean and Safe
- Community and Housing
and in which other areas it should invest in.
Redditch Borough Council’s Leader Cllr Sharon Harvey said: “Even though we collect the Council Tax on behalf of our partners, we only keep, on average, 12% of the overall bill, so we do have to budget prudently.
“However, we are determined that we invest in as many areas as possible, which our communities and customers tell us are important to them.
“After all they are experiencing our services on the ground so we want to hear from them and use the information to help us to make investments which will make a real difference.”
As well as the survey being available online, with paper copies available in the library and customer services centre, a focus group will also be held on December 10th 6 – 8pm.
To register your interest email r.green@bromsgroveandredditch.gov.uk, using ‘Redditch Budget Focus Group’ in the subject line.
Cllr Harvey added: “We want our residents to be involved in how their money works for them so are reaching out to as many people as possible. Please take a few minutes to take part.”
The budget is available at www.redditchbc.gov.uk/budgetsurvey and runs until December 29th.
