Easter Egg-stravaganza for market anniversary

Redditch Outdoor Market is turning one year old later this month, celebrating with a themed Easter market.

The market is to be held on March 28th and set to be a day of fun-filled family entertainment held alongside Redditch’s normal stalls.

A trader that has been at the market since day one, John from Country Garden Pies, also a former butcher, will be putting on a sausage making demonstration as part of the birthday celebration.

Starting at 12pm, the demonstration will cover all of the key elements of sausage making including seasoning and linking them together. They’ll then be cooked for people to taste, of course!

There will be fun for all the family with live music from Tom Callingswood bringing some ear excitement, as well as balloon modelling and face painting for the younger ones.

Leader of Redditch Borough Council, Cllr Sharon Harvey, said: “The Easter market will be a fantastic occasion and bring a lovely warm atmosphere to our town centre. With this being a joint celebration for the anniversary of the return of Redditch Market I encourage as many people as possible to come down to support your local market, traders, and enjoy being proud of our town.”

The event will be in Market Place, Redditch between 9am and 4pm, adding plenty of atmosphere and entertainment to the usual Saturday offering.

There’s still time to get involved and get yourself a stall at the market whether you’re experienced or a brand-new start up business, there’s free trader parking, and our new trader incentives.
