Don’t Get a Parking Fine!
Residents are being urged to take care when parking in Redditch town centre as new restrictions are set to come into play.
From August 9 visitors to Unicorn Hill and Church Green West could face a penalty charge notice if they do not follow the new restrictions:
These include – but are not limited to:
- No parking, waiting, or loading at any time in the new cycle lane
- An introduction of a daytime waiting limit of 45 minutes on Unicorn Hill
- The introduction of a disabled parking bay on Unicorn Hill,
- A strict loading bay on Unicorn Hill, that cannot be used for parking of any sort
- An increase to the waiting limit on Bates Hill to 45 minutes
Redditch Borough Councillor Bill Hartnett, whose Portfolio covers Enforcement, said: “We want our residents to avoid getting a fine so wanted to give them as much notice as we can about these changes.”
The changes follow works to upgrade Unicorn Hill, Church Green West and the top of Bates Hill.
