2025 Places Survey Open Now

Redditch residents are invited to share their opinions as the latest places survey opens for responses.

The survey, the latest in a series, offers the opportunity for locals to share their opinions on a small highly focussed area. Several different topics will be covered across a year, making it easier for residents to dedicate the time necessary to share their opinions in depth.

This time Redditch Borough Council are asking for opinions on the local environment, parks and open spaces, and community safety.

Responses will help to inform the Council’s decision-makers on the priorities of Redditch residents when planning for the future.

Portfolio Holder for Performance, Engagement, and Governance, Cllr Jane Spilsbury, said: “Our parks, open spaces, and the feeling of safety in our community are vital for wellbeing and connection. This survey gives our residents a voice in how we approach and plan for these areas — it only takes a few minutes, but your feedback will make a lasting impact."

These surveys are one way the council formally engages with the community across the borough, and its results feed into the Council Plan - the central plan that helps councillors and officers set the council’s direction as an organisation.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Sharon Harvey, said: “We want to hear directly from residents about what matters most in their neighbourhoods. Our new survey format is succinct and quick, submitting a response is a chance to shape how we move forward, and I really thank anyone who takes the time to share their opinions.”

The Redditch Borough Places Survey Autumn 2025 is now open for responses until Sunday November 9. It’s available at www.redditchbc.gov.uk/consultations, and paper copies are available from the council’s customer services at 5 George Walk in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.
