Please read the terms on this page as completing the online form, we will ask you to confirm that you have read and understand the terms of ending the garage tenancy

I understand that where the garage tenant was also a tenant of a Council owned dwelling and has passed away, that there may be a statutory successor to the garage tenancy. If I am unsure about my rights I will speak to my Neighbourhood Team before submitting this Notice to Quit.

I understand that I must give one weeks written notice to the Council to end this garage tenancy

I understand that the tenancy must end on a Sunday.

I understand that I will deliver vacant possession of the garage before 12:00 midday on the Monday immediately following the tenancy end date

I understand that if vacant possession is not given on the due date and time then the Council will regain possession of the garage by way of changing the locks and I will be recharged for the work.

I agree to any credit on a linked dwelling account being transferred to repay any outstanding debt on a garage or carport account at the end of the tenancy

I agree to any credit on a garage account at the end of the tenancy being transferred to any linked dwelling rent account to clear any other housing related debts
I understand that the garage will be inspected within 2 days within the tenancy ending and if vacant possession has not been given (i.e. the garage is clear of goods and vehicles) then the Council will deal with the remaining goods in accordance with the Law of Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977, Section 12(1) and rent will continue to be charged until the matter is resolved.

I understand that I will be recharged for any clearances of the garage that become necessary.
