Borough of Redditch Local Plan Passes Through Gateway 1

Redditch Borough Council has formally initiated the 30-month plan-making process by passing through Gateway 1 on the 30th October 2026. As per Regulation 21 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026, a Gateway 1 Self-Assessment Summary has been published. The Gateway 1 Self-Assessment outlines our progress in 5 key plan-making areas, demonstrating our preparedness to initiate the 30-month process.

A summary of responses received to the scoping consultation has also been prepared. The summary report can be viewed on the scoping consultation page.

The Emerging Local Plan timetable has also been updated to reflect the date of progression through Gateway 1.
