Dial a Ride Privacy Notice

Why do we collect information?

The purpose for collecting the personal data is to enable the provision of a dial a ride service. The legal basis for this processing is to fulfil a contractual obligation, by signing up to the dial a ride service you are entering into a contract, we require the personal data requested to fulfil this contract safely.  We collect some relevant health, disability, and mobility information to allow us to provide the service, this is done so under “Reasons of substantial public interest under equality of opportunity or treatment”.

  • Address
  • DOB
  • Disability/medical information
  • Contact information
  • Emergency contact information

Who has access to the information?

This information will be accessible by those staff and volunteers working in the Dial A Ride service. This information will not be shared/sold to any other service/organisation unless we have duty to do so under law.

Is the information sent outside the EEA?

This Information will not be transferred outside of the EEA.

How long is the information kept?

The information will be kept for 12 months after the last access of the service.

Are any decisions made about my information automated?

Decisions around this information are not made by automated means.
