Where your money goes...
It’s that time of year where we start to send out your annual council tax bill…
The average bill for a Band D home is £2,633.78 which is an increase of 7.76% from last year.
Your Borough Council only keeps £285.94 – that’s £5.50 a week.
While we send out the bill and collect all of the money, we only keep 12p of each pound you pay, which helps pay for the services provided by us.
For every pound you pay broken down - (WCC - 72p, PCC - 12p, RBC - 12p, HW F&R - 4p
We do more than just empty your bins!
And for less than a large box of tea bags, we provide a wealth of services from parks, play areas, woodlands, street cleaning, housing, planning, licensing - the list goes on.
Last year consisted of:
- Regeneration Innovation Centre – Plans Approved for Enhanced Innovation Centre
- Regeneration Redditch Town Hall – Town Hall Works Underway
- Redditch Outdoor Market – Redditch Market launches this spring
- Improvement to Shopmobility – Shopmobility on the home straight
This year the borough council will deliver the council’s key priorities of Economy, Regeneration & Prosperity, Green, Clean & Safe, Community & Housing. Click here to read more - Council Plan
