World Wellbeing Week

We know that cultural and physical activities are some of the most powerful tools we have to build health and wellbeing in our communities. As such, with World Wellbeing Week running 21-30 June, we wanted to highlight some great opportunities to get active, creative and generally energised.

Are you a young drummer? Would you like to play at the John Bonham Festival 2022, win a snare drum and more? Drummers must be aged 11-18. Birdbox is the exciting new space in Bromsgrove town centre. It’s a great space to bring to life your ideas for new events and new business ideas – a place to bring together the community to celebrate, share and explore. The Birdbox is situated next to Waitrose in the town centre. If you would like to know more about the new Birdbox space, please contact the Events Team:

Over the past year and a bit, we’ve been working very closely with the wonderful artist Keith Ashford. At a time when many of us have had or preferred to access creative content online and at home, Keith has produced a really wonderful series of expert art tutorials – suitable for children and families, but also with something to offer anyone who might want to build up their arts and craft skills. Find out more at the following link.

Finally, it’s been a delight to work with community member Leigh Walton on her Kingfisher Trail project. Over the past few months Leigh has been developing a route featuring some of Redditch’s most exciting heritage assets – and is proposing that this will ultimately become a regular guided tour of the area, showcasing its rich history and supporting community wellbeing.
