Highway Closures Landscape Maintenance

The latest seasonal road maintenance is now in progress, with works taking place until Monday November 2nd.

As usual, it covers several roads across Redditch, and the works by us and other partners and contractors include:

• Verge cutting and cleansing
• Hedge and tree maintenance
• Street lighting, barriers, and signs
• Sweeping and gully cleaning

Short-term lane closures will be in place, with traffic management switching between lanes on some routes while we carry out the work safely.

Please allow extra time for your journey, follow the on-site signage and thank you for your patience while this essential work takes place.

Week commencing 12 October 2026

Tuesday: A448, Tutnall to Slideslow

Wednesday: A448, Foxlydiate to Tutnall

Thursday: A448, Foxlydiate to Tutnall

Friday: A448, Foxlydiate to Headless Cross and Headless Cross to the Cloverleaf Centre

Here’s the works schedule for 19 to 23 October

Monday: A448, Foxlydiate to the Cloverleaf, including slip roads

Tuesday: A448, the Cloverleaf to Foxlydiate, including slip roads

Wednesday: A4189, the Cloverleaf to Morrisons

Thursday: A4189, between the Cloverleaf and Morrisons in both directions

Friday: Roads around the Cloverleaf, including the A448 and A4189

There will be temporary lane closures and some delays while the teams maintain verges, hedges and trees, clean signs and gullies, repair lights and barriers, and sweep the roads.

Please plan ahead, allow extra time and follow the temporary traffic management in place.

Here’s the week’s highway maintenance schedule for 26 to 30 October

Monday: A441, McDonald’s to Matalan and Matalan to Sainsbury’s, including local traffic islands

Tuesday: A441, Matalan to McDonald’s and Sainsbury’s to Matalan

Wednesday: A441, McDonald’s to Matalan and Matalan to Sainsbury’s

Thursday: A4023, Dunelm (still want to say Staples!!) to Portway

Friday: A4023, Dunelm to Portway and back

Here’s the week’s highway maintenance schedule Weekend of 31 October

The final day of this programme of highway maintenance will be Monday (November 2).

The teams will be working on the B4160 - all of the ring road.

Temporary traffic management and lane closures will be in place while the work is completed.
