Redditch Community Lottery (RCL) is a no risk, no fee, online fundraising solution brought to you by the people of Redditch for the people of Redditch.
RCL is already helping 33 local causes raise year-round funds. Most local not-for-profit groups can register to start using this online community fundraising solution today and with no upfront costs, it’s quick and easy to register.

Once approved groups will get:

  • Their own webpage on the lottery site
  • A no risk prize structure to help engage their supporters
  • A wealth of marketing material and support to help their fundraising efforts
  • A steady monthly income paid directly into their bank account

Lottery tickets are £1 a week and for every ticket sold, each month 50% goes directly into the bank account of the good cause chosen by the player. A further 10% goes to the central fund, which is used to further support local good causes in the borough. 20% goes into the prize pot and 20% goes to cover the administration costs for running the lottery.

Good Causes engaged with the lottery can raise considerable sums just by asking their followers to support them through the lottery each week. Selling just 50 tickets a week will raise £1300 annually, and on average players usually purchase more than 1 ticket.

Karen Martin, from Inspire Community Training, said: “As an extremely small, voluntary sector organisation, the lottery fund has really helped us. There have been times, especially over COVID that we have struggled to pay a bill and then I’ve checked our bank, expecting the worst, only to find that a payment has come in from the lottery and covered it!”

Cllr Matt Dormer, Leader of Redditch Borough Council, said: “If you’re a good cause considering signing up to the lottery, don’t delay. It’s free to sign up, you get lots of additional help with marketing and it could lead to a steady income each month to support your organisation. What have you got to lose?

“I’ve heard from some of the players of the community lottery, and most agree, that it is more about helping causes close to your heart than it is about winning - the chance of a prize is just a bonus.”

Lottery supporters stand a chance of winning cash prizes up to the £25,000 jackpot every week. It’s a win-win situation as most supporters usually just want to give something back to the community or the group of their choice. The chance of a prize is an added bonus!

Any good causes registered and approved before the 30th of October will also gain access to an additional bonus offer to promote to potential new supporters – £1000 in John Lewis vouchers.
