Learningonline, the Council’s Adult Learning Centre, has been accredited to the matrix Standard, in recognition of the high quality information and advice service they provide.
The Learningonline service have received the accolade as a result of demonstrating the high quality Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) they provide for learners looking to improve their skills and qualifications.
Learningonline provides qualifications in Maths, English and IT for adults aged 19 and over. They are based at Greenland’s Business Centre and help around 120 people per year gain their qualifications, helping many to access higher education, improve their job prospects or change careers. The team are continuing to take on new students, even during lockdown, learners just need access to the internet and a PC, laptop or IPad to begin their course.
The matrix Standard is the international quality standard for organisations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance (IAG), either as their sole purpose or as part of their service offering.

This award is tribute to all of our staff who have made it possible, especially under the current circumstances. They always go above and beyond to help students achieve their qualifications.”
