Redditch residents and visitors are invited to share their opinions of the Town Centre this week at two consultation events.

The events are a chance for people to give their views on a number of topics including the proposed redevelopment of the town centre, the potential for a services hub, changes to the railway station and the future of the Town Hall building and the surrounding area.

Council representatives involved in the projects will be available to talk to on Friday 8th March from 1pm until 7pm in Committee Room 1 at the Town Hall.

For anyone who cannot attend this event, the officers will also be available on Saturday 9th March from 9.30am until 1pm in Committee Room 2 at the Town Hall.

As well as providing valuable feedback and opinions about the Town Centre, residents and visitors will also be able to discuss the council’s current position and plans for the regeneration of the town centre.

Cllr Matt Dormer, Leader of the Council, said: “We’re already beginning to make plans to help unlock Redditch, and the town centre is a vital component in realising our town’s potential.

“For many people travelling into the borough, whether by train, bus or car, this is the first thing they see and there is no question that there is room for improvement.

“There are so many individuals, groups and communities who are passionate about our town and we want all of them involved or giving their opinions, because these projects are for the benefit of everyone in the borough.

“We want to provide our residents and visitors with the regenerated and revitalised town centre that they need, want and deserve.”
