Redditch Crematorium will be opening their doors to the community with a special service to remember loved ones at Christmas.

On Tuesday 17th December from 6.30pm, the Crematorium will be holding a special, festive memorial service for residents from across Worcestershire who wish to remember their friends and family.

There will be a festive service, a performance by a brass band and refreshments.

Anyone who would like to add a personal touch can purchase a space on the Crematorium screens, to display memorial photographs of family and friends, during the service. Photo slots cost £5 which will cover administrative costs and any surplus will be donated to Redditch Baby Bank.

If you would like a photograph slot, please let the Crematorium know by Wednesday 11th December.

Michael Birkinshaw, Bereavement Services Manager, said: “Christmas is a time for reflection, remembrance and giving and we hope to encompass all of these things in our event. It will be light hearted and festive but it will also give visitors the opportunity to actively remember their loved ones and share this with other people in a similar position, as well as giving back to a great community cause.”

It is free to attend the event, no booking is required and all are welcome.

For more information or to book a photo slot, contact the Crematorium.

Residents can also register their interest in the event via the council’s Facebook event page.
