Discount under Right to Buy

You may be eligible for a discount of up to £77,000.

The discount is based on the type of property and the length of time you have been a public sector tenant:

  1. Houses: Discounts start at 35% discount off market value for 5 years' tenancy.  Add 1% for each extra year of tenancy up to 70% or the cash maximum whichever is lower
  2. Flats: Discounts start at 50% discount off market value for 5 years' tenancy. Add 2% for each extra year of tenancy up to 70% or the cash maximum whichever is lower.
