Six Weeks of Summer Smiles

Redditch Borough Council are pleased to invite families to make the most of their summer holidays with the unveiling of the annual FREE Summer Fun programme.

Returning for 2026, the programme will see Arrow Valley Country Park and Morton Stanley Park come alive with six weeks of free activities and opportunities to get stuck in.

With the first activities starting on 22 July, there’ll be activities spread across the two parks until 27 August.

Leader of the Council, Cllr. Matt Dormer, said: “Summer Fun gives families across Redditch a fantastic opportunity to get outdoors, make memories and enjoy everything our parks have to offer during the school holidays. We’re delighted to once again be providing six weeks of free activities and entertainment at Arrow Valley Country Park and Morton Stanley Park. From creative workshops and performances to outdoor adventures and hands-on activities, there is something for all ages to enjoy. It’s a great way for children and young people to stay active, learn new skills and make the most of their summer break.”

Visitors to Arrow Valley Country Park can enjoy a range of outdoor activities, including Glamba Drumming workshops, visits from Punch and Judy, and a chance to see the National Travelling History Museum amongst many other things.

Meanwhile, Morton Stanley is becoming host to the Pirate Treasure Hunt (charges may apply) for the duration of the six weeks, as well as hosting a range of fabulous FREE sessions including Kaos Circus, Hula Hoops & Bubbles, and Harlequins Orienteering’s String Maze.

From creative workshops to live performances, the programme has been designed for children, young people, and families to get involved, get active, enjoy the great outdoors, and try something new.
