Reach for Relaxation in Redditch
Residents are being invited to take a moment to slow down, get active and enjoy the benefits of Tai Chi through a series of sessions taking place in the borough.
Redditch Borough Council are hosting the sessions, funded by Worcestershire County Council, every Tuesday throughout the summer, starting on Tuesday 7th July 2026, at 1:30pm.
The free sessions are taking place at Arrow Valley Park, with those who wish to enjoy gentle exercise in a welcoming outdoor environment being asked to meet by the amphitheatre next to the play park.
Leader of Redditch Borough Council, Cllr Matt Dormer, said: “Tai Chi is a gentle and accessible form of exercise that offers a variety of physical and mental health benefits. We're pleased to be able to offer these free sessions and encourage residents to come along and give it a try.”
Participants can enjoy a range of physical and mental wellbeing benefits from Tai Chi, including improved balance, greater flexibility, increased strength, reduced stress and general health and wellbeing benefits from exercise outside in the fresh air.
