Last Chance to Apply for Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board

Residents with a passion for making a difference in their community are being encouraged to apply for a place on the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board before applications close next week.

The Board will play a vital role in shaping the future of Greenlands and Woodrow as part of the ambitious Pride in Place programme, which could bring up to £20 million of investment into the area over the next decade. The Board will help guide decision-making, influence investment priorities and ensure local people are at the heart of plans for their neighbourhood.

The voluntary role is open to people who live, work, or have strong connections to Greenlands and Woodrow and want to help champion the needs and aspirations of the community.

Chair of the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board, Pete Martin, said: "The future of Greenlands and Woodrow should be shaped by the people who know and care about this community best. We want to hear from people from all walks of life. If you have ideas, enthusiasm and a desire to make a positive difference and have been thinking about applying, I'd encourage you to submit your application before the deadline."

Board members will work alongside local residents and partner organisations to help shape long-term plans for the area and ensure community voices are reflected in decisions about investment and improvement projects. 

Leader of Redditch Borough Council, Councillor Matt Dormer, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for local people to have a real say in the future of Greenlands and Woodrow. Through Pride in Place, residents have a unique opportunity to influence how this significant investment is used to improve their local area for years to come. I would encourage anyone who is passionate about making a positive difference to come forward and get involved."

Applications for the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board close on 31 July. Interested residents are encouraged to apply now to avoid missing out.
