Why do we collect this information?

Redditch Borough Council need the personal information you supply on this form and any accompanying statutory forms so that we can arrange your requested cremation. This is a contract that forms the legal basis for our collecting and processing your information.

What personal information is collected?

The Notice of Cremation form collects your signature. The other forms you complete to arrange the cremation collect:

  • Name, address, phone number and email address
  • Relationship to the deceased

Who has access to the information?

This information will be accessible to the staff working in the Bereavement Services team at Redditch Borough Council, and to your funeral director.

The information will be shared with the doctors certifying the paperwork.

Your information will not be shared with or sold to any other service or organisation unless we have a duty to do this under law.

Is the information sent outside the EEA?

This information will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area.

How long is the information kept?

This information will be kept for 15 years, as required by the Cremation Regulations 2008.

Are any automated decisions made using this information?

No decisions on this information are made by automated means.
