Voluntary and community groups are being invited to bid for the latest round of grants of up to £500 from Redditch Borough Council.

‘Stronger Communities’ grants support local community-focused projects, and this year’s third round of applications opens on Monday (August 8).

The previous round of Stronger Communities grants saw funding approved for summer holiday provision for young people aged 12-19 and a morning club for the over 55s, amongst other activities.

Head of Community Services Judith Willis, said: “In Redditch we have a really strong sense of community and this is in no small part because of the work carried out by people in organisations and voluntary groups that dedicate their time and skills. We remain committed to supporting these projects across the borough and understand how important they are to the local area. What could your community group do with a £500 grant?”

Stronger Communities grants are made available to groups, which do not have to be formally constituted to apply, in three rounds each year as one part of the borough council’s wider annual grants programme.

Applications to this round of grants can be made until 4pm on Friday September 9. How to apply apply and more information will be available on this link from August 8.
