Grants and advice
- Your energy supplier may have grants available.
- Warmer Worcestershire: The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme has a Help to Heat element that focuses on low income and vulnerable householders, with eligibility criteria set by Central Government. Local Authorities can also set additional criteria; Redditch Borough Council have signed up to joint criteria with other Worcestershire local authorities. The Warmer Worcestershire partnership has secured some funding under these two schemes towards loft and cavity wall insulation and in some cases, boilers. Eligibility is not a guarantee of funding, nor that works will be fully funded.
- The Redditch Energy Efficiency Fund (REEF) has been set up by Redditch Borough Council and is delivered by Act on Energy. It helps low income home owners with heating system servicing and repairs, replacement of inefficient or broken heating systems, loft and cavity insulation.
- Warm Homes Discount: Depending on your energy supplier and whether you meet their criteria, you may be eligible for a payment towards heating costs (which is paid as a credit on your electricity bill).
