    Information about Executive

    The Executive Committee is the decision making body at Redditch Borough Council.  Redditch Borough Council has adopted the “Leader and Cabinet” model of executive.

     

    Currently, nine Councillors sit on the Executive Committee, including seven Labour Councillors and two Conservative Councillor.  The Leader of the Council presides over meetings of the Committee.

     

    There are seven Portfolio Holders on the Executive Committee.  The portfolios represented at Redditch Borough Council comprise the following:

     

    • Community Leadership and Partnership inc. Vol.Sector (Councillor Bill Hartnett);
    • Community Safety & Regulatory Services (Councillor Rebecca Blake);
    • Corporate Management (Councillor John Fisher);
    • Housing (Councillor Mark Shurmer)
    • Local Environment and Health (Councillor Debbie Taylor);
    • Leisure and Tourism (Councillor Phil Mould); and
    • Planning, Regeneration, Economic Development and Transport (Councillor Greg Chance).

     

    Decisions are made by the Executive Committee collectively.  Portfolio Holders do not have delegated powers to make decisions on behalf of the Committee.

     

    Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings of the Executive Committee.
