Why do we collect information?

The purpose for collecting the personal data is to enable the provision of mobility equipment on a hire basis. The legal basis for this processing is fulfil a contractual obligations, by signing up to the shopmobility service you are entering into a contract for the supply of mobility equipment, we require the personal data requested to fulfil this contract safely.

We collect some relevant medical/disability information to allow us to provide the service, this is done so under schedule 1 part 2 (16) – Support for individuals with a particular disability or medical condition, of the Data Protection Act 2018

  • Address
  • Disability/medical information
  • Contact information
  • Emergency contact information
  • Weight

Who has access to the information?

This information will be accessible by those staff and volunteers working in the shopmobility service. This information will not be shared/sold to any other service/organisation unless we have duty to do so under law.

Is the information sent outside the EEA?

This Information will not be transferred outside of the EEA.

How long is the information kept?

The information will be kept for 1 year after the last access of the service.

Are any decisions made about my information automated?

Decisions around this information are not made by automated means.
